        The City Council held a Public Hearing on April 16, 2001 in City Council Chambers.  Vice Chairman of Finance Brian Kogut called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m.

Councilmembers in attendance were:  Joseph Ferrigno Feest, Keith Gordon, Brian Kogut and George McGoldrick.

OTHERS IN ATTENDANCE:  Edward L. Murphy, Director of Finance, Roger L. Kemp, City Manager, Lori N. Canney, Clerk of the City Council.

The Clerk read the call of the meeting.

LEGAL NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BUDGET FOR THE CITY
OF MERIDEN 2001/2002

Notice is hereby given that the City Council will hold a Public Hearing beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2001 in City Council Chambers, City Hall, 142 East Main Street, Meriden, Connecticut.

All citizens (especially senior citizens and the handicapped) are invited to attend and provide the City Council with written and oral comments.

The entire proposed budget and the proposed budget summarized below can be inspected by the public from 9:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the City Clerk’s office, Room 124, City Hall.

Those who came forward to speak on the proposed budget were:  Arthur Petrucelli, Frank Rotella.

When Vice-Chairman Kogut determined that everyone who wished to speak had done so, he declared that the Public Hearing was ended.  The time was 8:10 p.m.
